The detecting axis of the sensor unit (150) is arranged in an inclined manner at an inclination angle with respect to an attachment surface (122) to a body of the body casing, where the inclination angle is within a detectable angle range of the sensor unit (150). According to such configuration, a compact and inexpensive pedometer in which lowering in measurement precision due to variation in the attachment state attributed to the body shape of the user is prevented is obtained.
