PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an absorbent article capable of preventing a leakage preventing wall in a hollow loop shape from falling down inward in the width direction of the absorbent article while maintaining the excellent fitting property of the leakage preventing wall.
SOLUTION: The absorbent article 1 includes a surface sheet 2, a back sheet 3, and an absorbent body 4, is vertically long practically, and has the leakage preventing walls 6 in the hollow loop shape on both sides in the longitudinal direction. Each of the leakage preventing walls 6 includes: an upper fixed end 6a formed by fixing a sheet material 61, for forming the leakage preventing wall, to the skin abutting surface side of the absorbent body 4 and a lower fixed end 6b formed by fixing the sheet material 61 at least to the back sheet 3 at a part positioned on the non-skin abutting surface side of the absorbent body 4. Inside the hollow part 6V of the leakage preventing wall 6, an erection suppressing member 7 is disposed. The erection suppressing member 7 has: an absorbent article width direction inner side 7a fixed to the non-skin abutting surface side of the absorbent body and an absorbent article width direction outer side 7b abutted to the inner surface of the leakage preventing wall 6 in a non-bonded state to suppress the rise of the lower fixed end vicinity 6B of the leakage preventing wall 6.
