A birth assisting module (1) for being arranged in a region of a birth furniture where a pelvis of a mother is intended to be placed during birth, comprises a pelvis mobilisation support, a movement mechanics (4) and a drive unit (6). The pelvis mobilisation support is coupled to the movement mechanics (4). The movement mechanics (4) is adapted to induce a controlled cadenced displacement of the pelvis mobilisation support. The controlled cadenced displacement moves the pelvis mobilisation support by at least 1 cm or at least 3 cm and preferably by at least 5 cm. The drive unit (6) is connected to the movement mechanics (4) to actuate the movement mechanics (4).
