PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problems of a conventional seedling transplanter provided with a travel transmission mechanism for transmitting the rotation power of an engine to travel wheels and a planting transmission mechanism for transmitting the power to a seedling-planting section, wherein the travel mission device is not concise, has many parts, is complicated and is expensive, and to realize a travel mission device which enables the rice transplanter to forward or backward travel, has few parts, and is lightweight and inexpensive. SOLUTION: This seedling transplanter characterized by disposing branched transmission shafts 12, 13 for transmitting a power from an engine to a travel transmission system and a planting transmission system, disposing the first planting transmission shaft 19 from the branched transmission portion to a planting transmission system, and enabling the transmission of the power to the transmission system through a counter transmission shaft 20, when the power is transmitted from the first planting transmission shaft to the branched transmission portion.
