Disclosed is an anti-orthopoxvirus recombinant polyclonal antibody comprising distinct members which in union are capable of binding at least three orthopoxvirus related antigens, a pharmaceutical composition comprising the antibody, and a method for its production. Also disclosed is a polyclonal cell line capable of producing the recombinant polyclonal antibody as therapeutic methods utilizing the polyclonal antibody. Finally, the invention also pertains to a method for screening for useful VH and VL pairs useful when preparing the polyclonal antibody.La présente invention concerne un anticorps polyclonal recombinant anti-orthopoxvirus comprenant des éléments distincts qui, en association, sont capables de se lier à au moins trois antigènes apparentés à l’orthopoxvirus. La présente invention concerne aussi une composition pharmaceutique comprenant l’anticorps ainsi qu’un procédé pour sa production. L’invention se rapporte également à des lignées cellulaires polyclonales capables de produire l’anticorps polyclonal recombinant ainsi que des procédés thérapeutiques utilisant ledit anticorps polyclonal. Enfin, l’invention a trait à un procédé de criblage de paires VH et VL utiles pour la préparation de l’anticorps polyclonal.
