摘要:
593928 Disclosed is a drug delivery device (10) for driving an electrotransport current through an animal body surface. The device (10) includes a patch, a controllable power supply (18) and a controller (16). The patch is comprised of two electrodes (12, 14) and one or more reservoirs (30, 32) that store a therapeutic agent. The one or more reservoirs (30, 32) release the therapeutic agent through the animal body surface when the one or more reservoirs (30, 32) are positioned over the electrodes (12, 14) to form an electrical path for the electrotransport current traveling from one of the electrodes (12, 14) to the other of the electrodes (12, 14). The controllable power supply (18) is configured to apply an output voltage across the animal body surface and drive the electrotransport current through the animal body surface. The controller (16) is configured to drive the electrotransport current through the animal body surface in a predetermined profile. The controller (16) is programmed to determine a dynamic value representative of a target electrotransport current. The dynamic value is determined based on a target electrotransport current, a resistance value of a sense resistor used to detect the electrotransport current flowing between electrodes (12, 14) of the device (10), a value of a bandgap voltage associated with the controller (16) and a fixed voltage value. The controller (16) is arranged to control the controllable power supply (18) at least based on a present value of the electrotransport current and the dynamic value representative of the target electrotransport current.
