PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gas-permeable film usable as a packaging film, having improved gas permeating performance and being suitable to wide-range applications, particularly, for packaging various kinds of articles.SOLUTION: The gas-permeable film 1 includes gas permeating parts provided in a predetermined-thickness plastic film substrate for allowing gas to permeate therethrough. The gas permeating parts 3L each have a recessed portion 3 recessed a predetermined depth from one face to the other face of the plastic film substrate 2 into an expanded form to bulge a bottom outward from the other surface. The recessed portion 3 is formed gradually thinner from an upper opening portion toward the bottom and the thinnest at the bottom.
