PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mastication type orthodontic appliance.SOLUTION: A mastication type orthodontic appliance comprises at least one reform unit being a rigid body. The reform unit is attached to an upper jaw or lower jaw dental arch during mastication time, and a shape of the reform unit is maintained without deformation when teeth are stored therein. At least one first recess tub is formed on the reform unit, and has a shape for providing a first space on the surrounding of a first tooth of the upper jaw or lower jaw dental arch. The first tooth is a tooth with positional abnormality which should be reformed, and the first space is configured so that, the first tooth can move in the first space during mastication. At least one relaxing member is formed in the first space, and transmits and relaxes force between the first tooth and the first recess tub.
