PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a planting apparatus making a planting container smoothly move up and down relative to a water storage container, and capable of stably and securely performing posture retention of the planting container by the water storage container.SOLUTION: This planting apparatus has the water storage container 1 storing water W for planting and the planting container 2 for holding a planting flooring material 3, and is set with a guide means 6 which guides the up-and-down motion of the planting container 2 for the water storage container 1 in a condition that the planting container 2 floats on water W. The guide means 6 is composed of projecting members 4 which projects from either one side of the inner peripheral wall surface 1a of the water storage container 1 or the outer peripheral wall surface 2b of the planting container 2 to the other side, and extend to the wall surface on the other side in the vertical direction so as to freely abut.
