The diaper includes an impervious exterior layer and a pervious and breathable interior layer joined at an outer rim. An absorbent pad is positioned distally from the outer rim creating a gap between the pad and outer rim. The diaper includes securing members and is designed for maximum comfort and commodious fit to the animal.
