PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an endoscope cleaning and disinfecting apparatus which reduces burden imposed upon a user and improves maneuverability by automating a part of cleaning and disinfecting operations of the user.
SOLUTION: When an endoscope 2A is set within a cleaning and disinfecting tub 3, a conduit connecting section 12 of the endoscope 2A is connected automatically to a conduit attaching and detaching unit 4 of the endoscope cleaning and disinfecting apparatus 1, and an endoscope ID is recognized by an endoscope ID recognizing section 8. A control section 39 then automatically switches, in response to the recognized endoscope 2A, between cleaning or disinfecting steps in accordance with presence or absence of a front water supply conduit or switches brushing steps between a step corresponding to one treatment instrument channel and a step corresponding to two treatment instrument channels.
