PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the effort of a user for image display.SOLUTION: Two or more presets are memorized. Each of the two or more presets provides for the correspondence of an observation object and a display condition. A site of interest is set to medical image data according to instructions from a user. At least one candidate preset corresponding to at least one candidate observation object depending on the site of interest is selected from the two or more presets by using the pixel value of pixels included in the set site of interest.
