PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an iron-powder-coated seed, capable of realizing a coating little in falling of the iron powder not only in a seeding process but also in a transporting process, and an iron powder-coated seed coated with the iron powder for coating seeds, and to provide an iron powder for coating rice plant seeds, rare in possibility of giving damages to the rice plant seed and easy in handling, and an iron- powder-coated rice plant seed coated with the iron powder for coating rice plant seed.SOLUTION: The iron powder for coating seed is an iron powder usable for coating seed and has >35% but <85% mass fraction of iron powder having ≤45 μm particle size, >75% mass fraction of iron powder having ≤63 μm particle size and ≥30.0 mass% but ≤99.0 mass% metal iron content ratio.COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT【課題】播種工程のみならず輸送工程においても鉄粉の脱落が少ない被覆が実現できる種子被覆用鉄粉及び該種子被覆用鉄粉を被覆した鉄粉被覆種子を得ることを目的としている。また、稲種子に対してダメージを与える可能性が少なく、さらには取り扱いも容易な稲種子被覆用鉄粉及び該稲種子被覆用鉄粉を被覆した鉄粉被覆稲種子を得ることを目的としている。【解決手段】本発明に係る種子被覆用鉄粉は、種子を被覆するのに用いる鉄粉であって、粒子径が45μm以下の鉄粉の質量比率が35%超、85%未満、かつ粒子径が63μm以下の鉄粉の質量比率が75%超であり、かつ金属鉄の含有比率が30.0質量%以上99.0質量%以下であることを特徴とするものである。【選択図】 図1
