PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a plant cultivation bed and a plant cultivation method, reusable as much as possible, and capable of shortening the growing season and reducing the amount of labor.SOLUTION: In this plant cultivation bed, a water retention mat is stacked on the back of a support net, and the peripheries of the support net and the water retention mat are supported by a frame body. A recessed part is formed on the surface side of the water retention mat, and a plant storing space is formed by the support net and the recessed part. In this cultivation method, a plant is projected from the surface of the support net, and the projected part is cut and reaped.
