The subject matter of the present application are pharmaceutical or cosmetic compositions, comprising complexes dissolved in dimethyl sulfoxide (DMSO) and comprising at least one nucleic acid and at least one organic cation and comprising at least one pharmaceutically or cosmetically compatible auxiliary. The present invention further relates to the use of said compositions for introducing nucleic acid into, for example, human cells or tissue and to methods for producing such compositions.
