A device and method is proposed for early blood vessel aging detection. A pressure cuff is placed on subject's wrist and maintains a stable pressure (or uses sensor built-in wrist clips), then an analog signal processing unit extracts subject's radial pulse wave and another pressure cuff is placed on upper arm to stimulate endothelium cell to generate Nitric Oxide (NO). A standard pulse wave status is taken first, then upper arm pressure cuff is inflated to above systolic blood pressure that will occlude the blood flow from heart to radial artery which causes stimulation to endothelium cell derived NO to dilate blood vessel. After there release of upper arm pressure cuff the pulse wave signals are captured to compare with standard pulse wave; with post-processing, the response of blood vessel after the stimulation reveals the functionality of endothelium cell, thus can be used as a reference for early detection of arterial stiffness. Only a few minutes are needed for conducting a self endothelial function assessment. Therefore, early self-monitoring of cardiovascular dysfunction and arterial stiffness can be easily and effectively achieved.一種血管老化早期預測裝置與方法,於受測者的手腕部位以壓脈帯施以一固定之壓力(或手腕式夾具感測裝置),以使類比訊號處理單元可測得受測者手腕橈動脈脈波訊號及上臂部位以壓脈帯用來作為刺激內皮細胞啟動一氧化氮(Nitric Oxide)機制的功能。首先先量測並作為標準的脈波狀態後,再對上臂壓脈帯施加一高於收縮壓的壓力使阻斷自心臟流至手腕橈動脈的血液,以刺激內皮細胞啟動釋放一氧化氮機制控制血管平滑肌的擴張。當解除上臂壓脈帯之壓力後量測欲比較之橈動脈波形訊號;透過後端運算,以反映出血管狀況而得知內皮細胞調節功能的正常與否,以作為早期血管硬化預測的評估依據。
