The purpose of the present invention is to provide a method which can simply determine the physical condition of a cow by setting a range of a change in the body surface temperature. The range of a change in the body surface temperature is set by combining: data collected by selecting a region whose outer surface temperature approximates to an actual body temperature, and capturing a thermal image of the region in order to measure the body temperature of the cow and data collected from external environment factors which affect the body temperature of the cow. According to the present invention, provided is a method which can derive data used as reference data by setting the range of a change in the body surface temperature. The range of a change in body surface temperature is set by capturing a thermal image of the livestock&primes body surface temperature via a thermal image camera, combining data on the thermal image and data on measured values of surrounding environment factors, and performing data analysis. According to the present invention, the method secures sampling data by capturing thermal images of the cow&primes eye part at intervals of time, measuring surrounding temperature, humidity, and wind velocity, and combining data on the thermal image and data on the temperature, humidity, and wind velocity. Accordingly, the range of a change in the cow&primes body surface temperature can be set in consideration of effects caused by environment factors.
