PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a toothpaste composition with which an excellent cleaning property of adequately removing protein stain and materialized excellent taste without any bitter taste, astringency, harsh taste, or the like are made compatible with each other, while using an anionic surfactant for the purpose of securing foaming power as the toothpaste composition and also concurrently using an N-acylamino acid or a salt thereof and a polyphosphoric acid or a salt thereof.SOLUTION: A toothpaste composition contains following components (A), (B), and (C): (A) 0.005 to 0.3 mass% of an N-acylamino acid or a salt thereof, (B) 0.5 to 2 mass% of an alkyl sulfate, and (C) 0.005 to 0.4 mass% of a polyphosphoric acid or a salt thereof.
