PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To display a bone density and measured values on which the bone density is based in a form suitable for bone diagnosis.SOLUTION: A bone density measuring device obtains bone mineral distribution data wherein the three-dimensional distribution of bone minerals is projected onto a plane based on X-rays passing through the subject. The bone density measuring device calculates a bone mineral content, a bone area and a bone density based on the bone mineral distribution data, and displays the calculated bone mineral content, bone area and bone density in a display. Subject bones for diagnosis are, for example, the second, third and fourth lumber vertebrae.
