PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an artificial nest that is suitable for breeding and inviting primary tree hollow nesting birds, particularly kingfishers having hole digging capability lower than woodpeckers, without causing environment load.SOLUTION: An artificial nest for primary tree hollow nesting birds includes an outer shell surrounding a cavity so that the hollow may be formed inside. The outer shell has a nest opening perforation part being more flexible than a natural wood and formed of biodegradable materials on the hollow side part, and a rising part rising up from a hollow bottom to the lower end of the nest opening perforation part.
