The invention provides a spinning reel which can deliver rotation of a handle at random direction to a rotor without having to operate an operation part, on the basis of the spinning reel which has the handle which does not rotate in a line-releasing direction. The spinning reel herein comprises the handle, a spinning reel main body, a coiling barrel shaft, a coiling barrel, a rotor, a rotation delivering means and a rotation controlling means, wherein the rotation delivering means has a drive shaft which is connected to the handle and is capable of rotating with the handle, a drive gear which is capable of rotating with the drive shaft and a small gear which is arranged in the outer circumferential side of the coiling shaft barrel and engages the drive gear. The rotation controlling means is disposed between the handle and the rotor and delivers the rotation of the handle to the rotor when the handle is rotating in the direction towards which the handle is coiling, and while the rotor is rotating, does not deliver the rotation of the rotor to the handle.
