PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a marking capsule and capsule endoscope system for facilitating recognition of an inspection image position in an internal organ and reducing a load on an analyzing person.SOLUTION: A marking capsule is made to pass through the internal organ of an inspection object, before a capsule endoscope which passes through the internal organ, images the inside of the internal organ, and acquires an inspection image, passes therethrough. The marking capsule includes: a marking part for applying visible marking to the inside the internal organ a driving part for driving the marking part a transmission part for transmitting a positional signal indicating a position to an outside and a capsule case incorporating the marking part, the driving part, and the transmission part.
