This disclosure provides a method for treating a subject afflicted with a cancer comprising administering to the subject a combination of therapeutically effective amounts of an antibody or an antigen-binding portion thereof that binds specifically to Programmed Death-1 (PD-1) or to Programmed Death Ligand-1 (PD-L1), and an antibody or an antigen-binding portion thereof that binds specifically to C-X-C Chemokine Receptor 4 (CXCR4) or to C-X-C motif chemokine 12 (CXCL12).
