PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a handle for a fishing rod, wherein a power reel cord inserted through an insertion hole formed in a fishing rod is easily moved through the insertion hole, and the cord is easily connected to a reel or a battery, when connected, and to provide the fishing rod.
SOLUTION: The handle 14 for the fishing rod is configured to attach and detach a power reel 30 connected to the cord 60, and used by attaching a rod portion 12 on the tip side. An insertion hole 74a for communicating between the inside and outside of the handle and for inserting the cord therethrough is provided in the handle, and the insertion hole is formed not in a direction orthogonal to the axial direction C of the handle but in the direction of the tip end side of the handle 14.
