The invention discloses a novel broad spectrum ²-lactamase inhibitor. The structure of the compound is shown in the following formula I. Through the study of the activity of the compound of the invention on six types of ²-lactamase, it is found that the compound can not only inhibit the activity of multiple ²-lactamases, Moreover, when they are combined with ²-lactam antibiotics, they have strong growth inhibitory activity against all kinds of bacteria producing ²-lactamases, and can be expected to develop into a drug which can restore the antibacterial activity of ²-lactam antibiotics to treat and prevent infections caused by bacteria in animals, including human beings, with great social and economic benefits.
