The present invention relates to a packaging unit (1) comprising a sheet (4) of packaging material and a disposable hygiene article (2) extending in a longitudinal direction (L) of the elongated sheet (4) and placed on the inner surface (3a) of the sheet (4) such that it fits within an area limited by side edge zones (10, 12) and a first longitudinal end zone (6).
