PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stent delivery system with improved operability in indwelling a stent in a narrow section of a living organism.SOLUTION: A stent delivery system 1A for indwelling a stent 10A in a living organism includes: a cylindrical member 20A； a shaft-like member 30 arranged inside the cylindrical member 20A to advance and retreat in an axial direction； and an operation mechanism 50A which moves the cylindrical member 20A and the shaft-like member 30 in opposite directions with respect to the axial direction in linkage with each other.
