Disclosed herein is a process for shaping or altering the shape of hair involving brushing hair that has been optionally pre-shampooed and/or pre-washed heating the hair applying a composition to the hairleaving it on the hair for a period of time and and contacting the hair with an intermediate agent and/or water wherein the composition contains a polysaccharide material comprising chitosan and beta- glucan a silicone material comprising an alkoxylated siloxane amine a cationic silicone material comprising amodimethicone, a thickening agent a cosmetically acceptable solvent selected from water, an organic solvent, and mixtures thereof wherein the pH of the composition ranges from about 2 to less than about 7.Linvention concerne un procédé de mise en forme ou de modification de la forme des cheveux impliquant un brossage des cheveux qui ont été éventuellement préalablement shampooinés et/ou préalablement lavés le chauffage des cheveux lapplication dune composition sur les cheveux en la laissant dessus pendant une période de temps et la mise en contact des cheveux avec un agent intermédiaire et/ou de leau dans lequel la composition contient un matériau polysaccharidique comprenant du chitosan et du bêta-glucane un matériau de silicone comprenant une amine de siloxane alcoxylé un matériau de silicone cationique comprenant de lamodiméthicone, un agent épaississant un solvant acceptable au plan cosmétique choisi parmi leau, un solvant organique et des mélanges de ceux-ci le pH de la composition étant compris entre environ 2 et moins denviron 7.
