PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a deodorant composition preventing the generation of unpleasant acid odor even if being decomposed and capable of efficiently removing odors of mercaptans, amines, pyridines, fatty acids and phenols.

SOLUTION: This deodorant composition is expressed by a formula (1) and contains zinc salt of fatty acid having a branched chain and the carbon number of 9-32. In the formula (1), R1represents alkyl group having a branched chain, R2and R3each independently represents hydrogen atom, or alkyl group having a straight chain, a branched chain or cyclic structure, and R1and R2, R2and R3, or R1and R3may be bonded to each other.
