An implant connector is provided for linear implants such as spinal rods that are disposed within a body. The connector includes a first member including a first cavity defined along a longitudinal axis of the first member and configured to receive an implant, the first end having a bulbous shape configured to prevent translational movement of the connector along a longitudinal axis of a receiving portion of a bone screw. The connector includes a second member connected to the first member along a first axis and defining a second cavity that defines a longitudinal axis transverse to the longitudinal axis of the first member and configured to receive a fixation element to affix the implant within the first member, the second member connected to the first member substantially at the second end.
