The composition comprises gamma-orzanol and biocompatible particles encapsulating gamma-orzanol therein. The biocompatible particles may contain a polylactide glaicide copolymer having a number average particle diameter of 2.5 to 1,000 nm or a polyethylene glycol modified polylactide thereof. The composition is used for improving insulin resistance.
