PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a more efficient distillation process using a modular distillation system to maximize the quality and quantity of volatile oil obtained from plant material.SOLUTION: The present invention provides distillation processing using a distillation system that allows greater contact between steam generated from a liquid (water) held in a vessel 10 and plant material contained in a closed removable capsule 20 so as to extract volatile oils and hydrodistillates from the plant material, causes a condenser 30 to condense infused vapor that has passed through the capsule, and separates and collects the volatile oils, which are essential oils, and the hydrodistillates, which are hydrosols or the like, from the condensed liquid, which has flowed in from an outlet 38, in a separating chamber.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3【課題】植物原料から得られる揮発性オイルの質と量を最大限に高めるためのモジュラー蒸留システムを用いたより効率的な蒸留処理方法を提供。【解決手段】容器１０に貯蔵された液体（水）より発生した水蒸気を、密閉された着脱可能なカプセル２０内に収容された植物原料により多く接触させて、植物原料より揮発性オイルおよび水性蒸留物を抽出し、凝縮器３０でカプセルを通過した浸出した水蒸気を凝縮させ、排出口３８より流入した前記凝縮液を分離槽において、（ヒドロゾル等の）水性蒸留物水性蒸留物から揮発性オイルである精油と分離回収する蒸留システムを用いた蒸留処理。【選択図】図３
