Provided is an antioxidative or whitening cosmetic composition containing a fermented extract of mistletoe. The composition containing the fermented extract of mistletoe exhibits increased antioxidant efficacy and superoxide dismutase (SOD)-like activity than an unfermented extract of mistletoe. In addition, the total flavonoid content increases in the composition, and an increase in the tyrosinase inhibiting activity in an enzymatic level (the evaluation index for whitening effects) has been detected in a cellular level.
