PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a planted tree supporting structure capable of further firmly supporting the root clump of a planted tree and to provide a supporting method for the planted tree.SOLUTION: A plurality of vertical strut members 3 are driven into a ground surface on which a root clump 1 of a tree T is mounted, along the peripheral surface of the root clump 1 within a recess 2 which is formed on the ground surface the upper parts of the vertical strut members 3 are tightened with a tightening member 10 along the side face of the root clump 1 and the side face of the root clump is sandwiched and pressurized by the vertical strut members 3.
