PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a molecular variant adiponectin which is produced as a uniform product without mixing trimer, hexamer, 12-18 mer, etc., and has an activity equivalent to or higher than that of natural adiponectin.SOLUTION: There is provided a molecular variant adiponectin which is converted to a fusion protein comprising a trimerization domain such as a coiled-coil domain of a matriline family protein and a globular region of adiponectin so as to naturally associate and form a uniform trimer.
