PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and an apparatus for processing radiographic image which is used for correcting defective pixels within an image photographed by a radiation detector and achieves a reduction in correction processing time when the image contains two kinds of defective pixels, namely deformed defective pixels and non-deformed defective pixels.

SOLUTION: A plurality of uniform irradiation images are acquired for each storage time of the radiation detector and each radiation dose on the radiation detector. A plurality of pieces of defective pixel information are acquired on the basis of the plurality of uniform irradiated images and are stored in a database DB. As for each deformed defective pixel group in a normal image, a radiation dose of a position in the pieces of defective pixel information corresponding to the center of a deformed defective pixel group is specified, the piece of defective pixel information is extracted from the database DB, and pixel data corresponding to each deformed defective pixel group in the normal image are corrected on the basis of the extracted piece of defective pixel information. As for a non-deformed defective pixel group, image data corresponding to each non-deformed defective pixel group are corrected without referring to the database DB.
