PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prolong an irradiation time of light of a specific reference color, and obtain a suitable color image.SOLUTION: An imaging apparatus comprises: an illumination part 23 capable of irradiating a subject A with an illumination light of three reference colors an illumination control part 24 which controls the irradiation part 23 an imaging part 22 for time-division capturing of three color images corresponding to the three colors of the subject A in a unit imaging period and a signal processing part 12 which generates a color image on the basis of the captured three color images.
