PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lightweight fishing rod grip having excellent sense of touch and a method for producing the same.SOLUTION: The grip 10 is obtained by laminating a butt section 11, a cork sheet 27, carbon cloths 29 and 30 and a glass sheet 34 and integrally baking them. The material of the butt section 11 is a carbon fiber prepreg. The cork sheet 27 is wound on the outside of the butt section 11 and glass fiber prepreg is wound on the outside of the cork sheet 27. A resin 33 impregnated into the glass fiber prepreg by baking is permeated into the cork sheet 27.
