PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the puncture pain by cooling the skin to a predetermined temperature in a short time before hitting the skin with a puncture needle used at the time of administration of influenza vaccine, etc. An object is to provide a lightweight stick for relieving puncture pain. A puncture pain relief rod (100) has a cold storage part (12) inside a shaft portion (10) of the puncture pain relief rod (100), and a tip of the puncture pain relief rod (100) is in contact with the cold storage part (12). By providing the tip member 14 of (1) for pressing a skin with a puncture needle for several seconds and cooling the skin at that portion to 25° C. or lower, a puncture pain relieving rod is provided.
