The invention relates to a machine comprising a stationary frame (1) in which two conveyor belts are disposed at an angle, converging downwards. The belts include means for adjusting the relative position of the belts that can be used to vary the distance or gap defined between the lower edges thereof, forming a separation distance that can be adjusted to allow the chopping of peduncles of different diameters and belonging to different types of fruit. In addition to the aforementioned belts (2) the machine comprises a third upper belt (5) with supports serving as stop elements for the pieces of fruit being conveyed by the angled belts, said belts also including adjustable-speed movement means. The area close to the outlet of the lower conveyor belts is provided with a cutting table equipped with cutting blades or discs for chopping peduncles hanging down between the two lower conveyor belts.La máquina se constituye a partir de un bastidor (1) estático en el que están dispuestas dos cintas o bandas transportadoras dispuestas en ángulo, con convergencia hacia abajo e incluyendo medios de regulación posicional entre las mismas que permiten variar la distancia o el hueco que definen entre el borde inferior de las mismas, determinando una separación regulable para permitir el seccionado de pedúnculos de distinto diámetro y de distinto tipo de frutos.
