A device (10), system, kit, and method for managing the passage of fluid through an opening in the body of a patient that includes a fluid-containment receptacle (12) including a collapsible sidewall (18), the fluid-containment receptacle (12) having a first receptacle opening (20) and a second receptacle opening (22) positioned at opposite ends of the sidewall (18) of the fluid-containment receptacle (12). The device (10) also including a first flange (14) extending radially outward from the sidewall (18) and positioned at or adjacent to the first receptacle opening (20) and a second flange (16) extending radially outward from the sidewall (18) at or adjacent to the second receptacle opening (22). The device (10) is configured to be applied to the opening in the body of the patient such that the first opening (20) and the first flange (14) contact the body of the patient and form a fluid barrier around the opening (20).
