PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a probe received in a holder from projecting measurement light in a photoacoustic measurement apparatus.SOLUTION: The present invention relates to a photoacoustic measurement apparatus including a plurality of probes which project measurement light and a plurality of dedicated holders each of which is associated with one of the plurality of probes and receives the one probe, the photoacoustic measurement apparatus comprising: probe identification means which, when a probe 11A is received in a holder 16A, determines whether or not the received probe 11A is associated with the holder 16A, by, for example, a weight sensor 70 and a determination unit 71； and light projection control means (composed of, for example, a control unit 34 which stops a laser unit 13 from being driven) which, when the probe identification means determines that the probe 11A received in the holder 16A is associated with the holder 16A, suppresses the projection of the measurement light from the probe 11A.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
