PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for 'remarkably' reducing nitrate nitrogen and nitrite nitrogen in fermented feeds 'with high safety' when the fermented feeds are prepared by using a raw material for the fermented feeds with a high content of the nitrate nitrogen {in particular, vegetable residues, or pasture grass or feed crops which are silage raw materials, and a raw material for TMR (total mixed ration) fermented feeds}, and to produce the fermented feeds of good quality (in particular, the fermented feeds of the vegetable residues, silage, and TMR fermented feeds).SOLUTION: There are provided a new strain of the genus Bacillus having an excellent ability to reduce the nitrate nitrogen and properties suitable for producing the fermented feeds of good quality; and a new strain of a lactic acid bacterium having the excellent ability to reduce the nitrite nitrogen and the properties suitable for producing the fermented feeds of good quality; a microbial formulation for producing the fermented feeds containing the strains; and a method for producing the fermented feeds with the reduced nitrate nitrogen and nitrite nitrogen to which the strains are added (for further details, the fermented feeds of the vegetable residues, feed crops-pasture grass silage, and TMR fermented feeds).
