The present invention relates to a novel strain of Saccharomyces cerevisiae KNU-06 and uses thereof. Specifically, according to the present invention, the strain KNU-06 in Saccharomyces cerevisiae is a strain of a plant growth hormone with high content of auxin, an ability to fix nitrogen, and ACC deaminase activity. Thus, the KNU-06 strain can be used to promote growth of plants, and can prevent aging and growth decrease of plants. Therefore, the KNU-06 strain can be used for providing an environmentally friendly fertilizer and/or a pesticide, and can be usefully used in various eco-friendly farming methods in the future.본 발명은 신규한 사카로마이세스 세레비지에(Saccharomycescerevisiae) KNU-06 균주 및 이의 이용에 관한 것으로, 구체적으로, 본 발명에 따른 사카로마이세스 세레비지에 KNU-06 균주는 식물 생장 호르몬인 옥신의 생성량이 많고 질소 고정 능력이 있으며 ACC deaminase 활성을 갖는 것으로 확인되었는바, 상기 KNU-06 균주를 이용하여 식물의 생장을 촉진시키고, 식물의 노화 및 생장저하를 방지할 수 있다. 따라서, 상기 KNU-06 균주는 친환경 비료 및/또는 농약의 제공에 이용될 수 있으며, 향후 다양한 친환경 농법으로 유용하게 이용될 것이 기대된다.
