PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cinerary urn that can be easily manufactured at low cost without using a biodegradable material.SOLUTION: A cinerary urn 1 is configured to be naturally collapsed by moisture absorption operation and returned to soil. The cinerary urn includes an urn body 4 and a lid 5 covered on an upper end opening part 3 of the urn body. Each of the urn body 4 and the lid 5 is a member in the unfired state while a china clay is formed and dried. The china clay maintains a self-shape retention in the room of a general house, and includes hygroscopicity of absorbing the moisture in the soil and losing the self-shape retention when buried in the soil.
