The present invention relates to an oriental acupuncture needle for drug delivery, having a detachable needle point made of a biodegradable polymer, and to a manufacturing method thereof. An herbal acupuncture needle of the present invention has a space where a drug can be stored inside a detachable needle point, and supplies a herbal medicine flowed into the space in an acupuncture process by the separation of a biodegradable coating formed on the outer side of the needle point, using an etching or 3D printing technique.
