PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an appetite regulator acting on the primary eating/metabolism-regulating center.SOLUTION: The appetite regulator includes an NKA activity regulator regulating the NKA(Na+K-ATPase) activity of glucose-inhibited neuron in the arcuate nucleus of hypothalamus. This regulator, which is an NKA activator, lowers the [Ca]concentration of glucose-inhibited neuron, thereby enabling appetite promoters differing in mode of action from conventional ones to be provided.
