The combustion exhaust gases (9), before emerging into the atmosphere, are conveyed into the operating air stream (6) of the appliance, into the fan duct (5) of the fan housing. The exhaust gases are introduced by means of a connection (8) extending the outlet pipe (7) of the engine exhaust. The connecting piece leads via a sealing sleeve (13) into the fan-duct.
