This method includes the following steps: (A) providing an array comprising a plurality of cell samples； (b) providing at least one subject to be tested； (c) contacting the cell sample with the subject； and (d) measurable on the cells. When a signal serving as an index of action is detected, the change over time of the signal measured for the cell sample relative to the control sample is an indicator of the measurable action of the subject on the cell sample. The present invention further provides means and methods for identifying a subject selected from the group consisting of cannabis extract or fractions thereof, cannabinoid-type components, non-cannabinoid-type components, and any combination thereof.
