In a method of manufacturing a surgical implant, a flexible areal basic structure (10) having a first face (12) and a second face is provided. At least one linear marking thread (20) is placed, in a floating manner, onto one of the faces of the basic structure (10) and mechanically fixed (e.g. by stitching) to the basic structure (10) at a first location (21, 21, 23) and at a second location (22, 22, 24) which are spaced from each other. Thereafter, the linear marking thread (20) is thermally fixed to the basic structure (10), in an area between the first location (21, 21, 23) and the second location (22, 22, 24), by a melt-fusing process.Dans un procédé de fabrication dun implant chirurgical, une structure de base à superficie souple (10) comportant une première face (12) et une deuxième face est obtenue. Au moins un fil de marquage linéaire (20) est placé, de façon flottante, sur lune des faces de la structure de base (10) et fixé mécaniquement (par couture, par exemple) sur la structure de base (10) au niveau dun premier emplacement (21, 21, 23) et dun deuxième emplacement (22, 22, 24) espacés lun de lautre. Ensuite, le fil de marquage linéaire (20) est fixé thermiquement sur la structure de base (10), dans une zone située entre le premier (21, 21, 23) et le deuxième emplacement (22, 22, 24), par un processus de fusion à létat fondu.
